Wildlife Rescue Kid

During my year in Uganda, I trekked through forests in search of mountain gorillas, watched baby gorillas tumble and swing, spent time with a family of elephants, jogged alongside zebras, and marveled at colorful birds and chameleons. This piece, with a playful touch, imagines a Rescue Kid helping these beloved animals, hoping their homes are safe and that they can return to their families to live freely and peacefully.
