Book Signing and Art Workshop

East Village Bookshop, Sacramento, CA

In 2023, I celebrated the release of What is Math? and How to Be a Mensch by A. Monster with a lively book signing event at the cutest independent bookstore, East Village Bookshop in Sacramento. After the signing, we gathered around for a hands-on collage art workshop where children (and a few adults!) created textured papers, cut, pasted, and let their imaginations run free—without rules or structure. The table buzzed with excitement as new images emerged from cutouts and surprising material combinations. Even the bookstore staff noticed the joyful energy filling the room that Sunday afternoon. It was truly a blast to share stories and creative time with such an inspired group.
